Description
A collection of mid-20th-century British children’s books and annuals. Visible titles on the spines include Ameliaranne Keeps School, Warne’s Book of Fairy Stories, Blackie’s Annual, and The Homelover’s Book. The volumes are constructed with a mix of publisher’s cloth-bound spines and illustrated paper-covered boards. One volume, identified as Blackie’s Annual, features the spine text bound in an inverted orientation and includes a blue-stamped illustration of a boy with a tennis racket. The books are produced in octavo and small quarto formats. A white adhesive tag with the handwritten number 6182 is present on the spine of the volume published by Warne. No title pages or copyright dates are visible for further attribution.
