Description

A collection of silver topped and cut glass items, primarily comprising dressing table bottles and condiments. The group includes a large oval-form flask with an all-over diamond or hobnail cut pattern, fitted with a silver topped collar and screw-cap. Also included is an elongated faceted glass bottle with a silver topped collar and cap, and a small square-section bottle featuring a silver topped hinged cap engraved with a cursive monogram. The collection further contains two pear-shaped scent bottles with diamond and panel cutting, one retaining a silver topped cap and the other with a cork stopper, alongside two small silver topped shakers with perforated dome tops and a miniature clear glass bottle with a cork. The glass components exhibit characteristics of lead crystal with sharp cutting and high clarity. The silver topped mounts appear to bear hallmarks, though they are not clearly legible at this resolution. The items are in the British style of the late 19th or early 20th century.
