Description
A pair of sterling silver circular dishes by the maker Mappin and Webb. Each dish features a multi-lobed scalloped rim in the Chippendale style with a shallow plain well and a raised shaped border. The rims are struck with a full set of British hallmarks including the maker mark MAPPIN & WEBB, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the date letter B for 1926. The dishes are also stamped with the pattern number 133.
