Description
An early 20th-century oak document or sheet music cabinet, likely Edwardian in period. The single-piece construction features a single door with two inset panels of quarter-sawn oak, displaying characteristic medullary ray grain patterns. The interior is fitted with nine vertical compartments formed by fixed wooden dividers, suitable for the storage of ledgers, files, or sheet music. The cabinet is designed with a projecting top cornice and sits on a solid plinth-style base. Hardware consists of a decorative brass escutcheon and two brass butt hinges. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are present on the piece.
