Description
A five-piece collection of decorative Cottage Ware table items, in the style of English manufacturers such as Price Kensington or Ye Olde Cottage. The set is constructed from slip-cast glazed earthenware, designed in novelty architectural forms representing traditional English thatched cottages. Each piece features moulded relief details including thatched roofs, timber framing, windows, and garden foliage, finished with polychrome hand-painted decoration in a palette of brown, ochre, and green. The collection includes a teapot with a separate lid and an overhead wicker-effect ceramic handle, a lidded biscuit barrel, a water or milk jug with a ceramic handle, a rectangular lidded dish, and a smaller lidded pot. No maker marks are visible on the bases or bodies of the items.
