Description
A collection of British ceramic wares featuring items in the Mason’s Mandalay pattern and various blue and white transferware pieces. The group includes an octagonal-form jug, a large circular charger, and matching plates, all decorated in the Mandalay palette with iron red, cobalt blue, and pink floral motifs accented by scrolling foliage and gilded rims. The blue and white transferware components comprise a lidded cylindrical jar, a rectangular vessel, a teapot, and a cream jug, each decorated with Chinoiserie landscape scenes in the Willow tradition. Also included is a boxed calendar plate featuring a central blue transfer depiction of York Minster surrounded by a monthly calendar border. A small adhesive tag with the handwritten digits 8822 is present on the jug.
