Description
A cast metal bust, likely spelter with a dark brown patinated bronze-effect finish, depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson. The figure is portrayed in naval uniform featuring epaulettes, a sash, and various naval orders and medals. The work is executed in a Neoclassical style and sits upon an integrated, circular stepped pedestal base. The side of the base bears the embossed inscription LORD NELSON. The underside of the base reveals a hollow interior with jagged edges and remnants of an orange-toned filler material.
