A Royal Doulton Woodland Pattern Tea and Side Service
Description
A Royal Doulton bone china tea and side service in the Woodland pattern. The service features a pale duck-egg blue border to the plates and saucers, with a matching colour applied to the exterior of the teacups. The centres of the plates and the interiors of the cups are decorated with transfer-printed floral sprays depicting pansies and other blossoms in muted tones of blue, pink, and yellow with green foliage. Each piece is finished with a gilded rim and gilt accents to the handles. The service comprises a collection of side plates, matching saucers, teacups with flared rims and pedestal bases, and a matching milk jug. The underside of the pieces bears the Royal Doulton manufacturer’s mark and the pattern name Woodland.
