Mid-century Modern Teak Coffee Table with Inset Tiled Top and Magazine Rack
Description
A mid-century modern coffee table, likely of British manufacture dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The piece is constructed from teak-toned hardwood. The rectangular top features two large inset ceramic tiles, each decorated with a stylised circular scroll pattern in earth tones of brown, ochre, and cream. The table is supported by four square-tapered legs joined by shaped side rails. A lower tier consists of five parallel wooden slats, functioning as an integral magazine rack. No maker’s marks are present, though the design is in the style of manufacturers such as G-Plan or Nathan. A small white adhesive label is located on one side rail.
