Model Flight Accessories Bob Weston's Yamamoto RC Model Aircraft with Futaba Radio System, Circa 1980
Description
A vintage radio-controlled (RC) model aircraft assembly featuring the Yamamoto trainer, designed by Bob Weston and manufactured by Model Flight Accessories (MFA) in England. The aircraft comprises a wooden fuselage finished in red with blue and black accents, accompanied by detachable grey wings featuring red and light-blue decorative stripes. The internal electronics suite includes a Japanese-made Futaba 3-channel digital proportional receiver, model FP-R3F, tuned to 26.995MHz, with multiple servos and associated wiring. The lot also includes the original Futaba transmitter housed in its protective styrofoam insert and black retail box, alongside a paper package marked CROWN. This set represents a classic era of British model aviation and includes the original illustrated cardboard box lid for the aircraft.
