A Collection of Gilt and Silvered Lustreware Turkish Coffee and Tea Service Items
Description
A varied collection of porcelain tea and coffee service items, primarily in the Turkish demitasse style. The group features a prominent set finished in a bright gold lustre glaze, comprising a tall coffee pot with a domed lid, a lidded sugar bowl, a creamer, and several demitasse cups and saucers, some of which are embellished with small polychrome floral medallions. Also included is a coffee pot featuring silver-toned lustre accents and cream-coloured panels decorated with black transfer-printed neoclassical designs, alongside multiple cream-bodied cups and saucers with coordinating black patterns. The lot is completed by two white porcelain cups with gilt-accented handles. These pieces are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century European decorative lustreware, often produced in Italy or Germany for the international market. Coffee pot height approximately 22 cm.
