A Mid-20th Century Grafton A.B.J. Bone China Tea Service with Daisy Decoration
Description
A mid-20th-century English fine bone china tea service, attributed to Grafton (Alfred B. Jones and Sons) of Longton, Staffordshire. The set features a crisp white glaze decorated with a continuous transfer-printed border of yellow and white daisies with green foliage. The service includes two square cake or serving plates with integrated handles and scalloped, lobed rims, complemented by a series of teacups and saucers. Each piece is finished with fine gilt highlights to the rims and handles. This collection reflects the traditional floral motifs characteristic of post-war British ceramic production. Cake plates approximately 23 centimetres in diameter.
