A Colclough Ivy Leaf Pattern Bone China Tea and Dinner Service
Description
A mid-20th-century English bone china tea and dinner service by Colclough, featuring the popular Ivy Leaf pattern. The set is decorated with transfer-printed trailing green ivy leaves and delicate brown vines against a crisp white ground. Each piece features a scalloped rim finished with hand-applied gilt edging, with further gilt accents to the handles. The service comprises nine teacups, a collection of saucers and side plates, two large circular serving plates with moulded handles, and a matching cream jug. Colclough, based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, was renowned for producing high-quality bone china for the domestic market. Large serving plates: 24 cm diameter. Teacups: 7 cm height.
