Description
A diverse bulk lot of printed and handwritten ephemera comprising a wide range of social, scientific, and historical subjects. A notable inclusion is the pamphlet Eugenics: A Science and an Ideal by Edgar Schuster, published by William Collins Sons and Co. for The Nation’s Library series circa 1913, which features a monochrome portrait of the author and reflects early 20th-century scientific discourse. Philatelic items include a 1970 Philympia commemorative envelope depicting the Military General Service Medal (1793-1814) with a Peninsula War postmark dated 10 November 1970 and a 5p Queen Elizabeth II stamp. The lot contains various early to mid-20th-century postcards and greeting cards with floral motifs, topographical views, and gilt-embossed religious emblems. Photography includes several black-and-white portrait studies and candid interior scenes. Additional ephemera includes an architectural floor plan sketch, handwritten notes, and cards featuring Gothic-style script. Bin dimensions: 35cm x 30cm x 25cm.
