A diverse collection of 20th-century personal effects and stationery ephemera. The lot features a Labrador Outdoor The Army Knife retail package including the original illustrated usage manual published by Running Press, Philadelphia and London. Also included is a vintage A.W. Faber-Castell 9030 green and white cardboard sliding box for 2.0mm graphite leads, manufactured in Stein bei Nürnberg, Germany. Writing instruments comprise two wooden dip pen holders, one with a purple and black marbled finish, a large quantity of steel and brass-tone nibs by makers such as Gillott, and a nickel-plated cylindrical drafting tube. Metalware includes a lithographed yellow and black Assorted Pens – Best English Make tin, a group of approximately ten steel skeleton keys on a wire ring, a brass-handled pattern tracing wheel, and a heavy nickel-plated adjustable press mechanism. The collection is rounded out by approximately eight folding pocket knives of various designs, including multi-blade Swiss Army styles attributed to makers such as Richartz, a large black-scaled knife with corkscrew, a slim silver-tone model marked HAROLD BAKER LTD, and various examples with imitation pearl and synthetic scales.
