A Collection of Silver-plated Tableware and Assorted Decorative Mantel Clocks including a Novelty Teapot Clock
Description
A mixed collection of silver-plated hollowware and decorative horological items. The silver-plated group comprises a teapot with an ebonised handle and finial, a cream jug, a twin-handled sugar bowl, a goblet, and a selection of engraved napkin rings, all presented on a circular tray. The horological assembly features a novelty metal clock designed in the form of a teapot, the dial marked Made in England with Arabic numerals and a central floral petit point needlework insert. This is accompanied by a brass-toned 400-day anniversary clock, attributed to Hermle, featuring a rotating torsion pendulum housed under a glass dome. The lot further includes several small carriage-style and alarm clocks, including a Matson-style Hollywood Regency gilt metal clock and a timepiece with a pink-toned faux-marble case. 20th Century.
