Description

A vintage children’s record storage binder titled Victory Record Album, dating from the mid-1920s. The front cover features a graphic of a multi-masted sailing ship within an oval frame, accented by decorative corner flourishes and a small illustration of a herald. This multi-sleeve binder was designed to house 7-inch records and contains several 78rpm discs from the Little Tots Nursery Tunes series. These records were produced by the Plaza Music Company and feature performances by the prolific recording artist Irving Kaufman, including titles such as Jack and Jill (No. 100-A) and Sing a Song of Sixpence (No. 102-B). This lot provides a charming insight into early 20th-century children’s home entertainment and the commercialisation of nursery rhymes. Dimensions approximately 7.5 x 8 inches.
