A Collection of Assorted Decorative Brassware and Metalware
Description
A varied collection of decorative brass and copper alloy items, primarily dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. The assembly includes a large spun-metal bucket with a swing handle, and several circular chargers featuring detailed repoussé-work depicting traditional genre scenes of village life and tavern interiors. The lot further comprises a selection of long-handled fireside utensils, including a fork and ladles, alongside a pair of simple brass goblets. Notable cast figurines include various animal forms such as an elephant, horses, and a domestic cat, as well as a model of a horse-drawn carriage. Also included is a small hearth brush with a brass mount and natural bristles. These pieces demonstrate a range of metalworking techniques including casting, stamping, and spinning. Largest charger approximately 32 cm diameter. Bucket approximately 18 cm height.
