An Arthur Wood Garden Wall Art Deco Ceramic Basket Vase
Description
An Arthur Wood earthenware basket-form vase from the Garden Wall series, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930. The vessel features a relief-moulded basket-weave body with a large integral overhead handle, decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in shades of pink, yellow, and green against a uniform peach-toned glazed ground. The underside bears the impressed Arthur Wood globe mark, Garden Wall Made in England, and a handwritten pattern number 572. Approximately 30cm width, 22cm height.
