Corgi and Atlas Editions, Die-Cast Model Vehicle and Railway Collection, Including Limited Edition Sets, Late 20th Century
Description
A diverse collection of die-cast metal and plastic model vehicles and locomotives, primarily featuring items from Corgi and Atlas Editions. The centrepiece of the collection is a Corgi United Dairies Limited Edition set, featuring an articulated delivery truck in its original illustrated box. Railway enthusiasts are well-represented by two Atlas Editions boxed locomotive models: the LNER Class A3 Flying Scotsman (No. 4472) in apple green livery and the LNER Class A4 Mallard (No. 4468) in garter blue. The lot also includes a black display insert containing several N-scale model carriages and freight wagons, alongside a Corgi Memories series yellow delivery van in its original packaging. A selection of unboxed die-cast vehicles is included, featuring a white sports car in a clear acrylic display case and various loose vintage-style cars. The collection is accompanied by original Atlas Editions promotional ephemera and leaflets. The items are constructed from die-cast zinc alloy with plastic detailing, typical of adult-orientated collectables from the 1980s and 1990s. The collection spans approximately 50 cm in width as displayed.
