Joshua Tetley & Son Promotional Shire Horse and Delivery Dray, Circa 1970-1980
Description
A vintage promotional brewery display model representing the iconic Shire horse deliveries of Joshua Tetley & Son, Leeds. The set comprises a large, glossy glazed ceramic Shire-style horse in a dark bay and white colourway, fitted with a decorative harness featuring metal chain accents. The horse is paired with a traditional wooden delivery dray, finished in vibrant red with yellow-spoked wheels and ornate gold-toned scrollwork detailing. The dray bed carries a load of miniature wooden barrels, secured by metal chains. A distinctive blue signpost with yellow “TETLEY” block lettering is mounted to the front. This piece reflects the heritage of the British brewing industry and the specific tradition of horse-drawn transport maintained by the Tetley brewery. Total length approximately 55 cm.
