Scott's and Austrian Vintage Scrapbook Collection and Cased Student Microscope, Mixed Media, Multicoloured
Description
This lot features a collection of vintage ephemera and scientific interest. It includes a large-format Austrian commemorative scrapbook bound in beige cloth, featuring a multi-coloured coat of arms and a red and white decorative cord, containing Victorian-style die-cut scraps. Also included is a Scott’s brand stamp album, 1940 Edition, in blue hardbound covers with gold-stamped lettering. The third item is a large green string-bound portfolio with a black spine. The final item is an unbranded vintage student microscope set with a black-enamelled metal body and chrome components, housed in a finger-jointed wooden box with glass slides and vials. Dimensions: Austrian Album 38cm x 31cm, Blue Album 29cm x 24cm, Green Album 41cm x 33cm, Microscope Box 21cm x 13cm x 9cm.
Condition report:
The Austrian scrapbook shows age-related toning and light shelf wear to the edges. The 1940 Scott\'s album shows notable wear, surface scuffing, and fraying to the spine and corners. The green album is in good condition with minor corner bumping. The microscope shows standard age-related wear to the finish, and the wooden box has light staining and pencil marks but is structurally sound. No significant odours noted.
