Various Manufacturers, A Large Miscellaneous Group Lot of Miniature Ceramics, Porcelain, and Collectibles
Description
A diverse collection of approximately 25 to 30 miniature items and decorative smalls. The lot includes Oriental-style ceramics such as a miniature Satsuma-style teapot with a cobalt blue ground and gilt highlights, two matching miniature cobalt and gilt ginger jars, three small hand-painted porcelain bowls in the Famille Rose palette, and a small porcelain ladle with floral decoration. Figurines comprise a small white elephant, a white bisque cherub, a small pug or bulldog, a wooden peg-style doll, a composition rabbit head, and two small figures in the style of Mickey Mouse. Other decorative items include a transfer-printed souvenir plate depicting a landscape, a large hand-painted teal decorative egg with a bird motif, a miniature framed oval portrait, and a small model of a red-roofed cottage. Materials include glazed porcelain, bisque ceramic, composition, wood, and plastic. Most pieces are unmarked, though some porcelain items bear indiscernible factory marks or Made in China or Japan stamps. Height of largest item approximately 8cm.
Condition report:
Items are in mixed condition consistent with age and varied origin. Significant damage is noted to one eggshell diorama which is severely broken and collapsed. One Mickey Mouse style figurine at the bottom of the tray appears to have a broken or missing foot. The black doll-style figure is a partial piece consisting of the torso only. General wear includes minor surface abrasions, small fleabites to ceramic rims, and occasional paint loss on composition items. This lot is sold as-is.
