Assorted Base Metal and Mixed Media Costume Jewellery Collection, Vintage to Modern
Description
A comprehensive collection of assorted costume jewellery and fashion accessories. The lot comprises a diverse range of items including multi-strand beaded necklaces, chunky silver-tone link chains, and yellow-tone metal chains of varying lengths. The assortment features several bangles in plastic and metal, hinged bracelets, a variety of rings, and numerous earrings, notably a pair of yellow-tone studs in a blue presentation box and a light-up cubic zirconia earring in its original retail packaging. Materials appear to be primarily yellow- and white-toned base metals, multi-coloured glass and plastic beads, imitation pearls, and synthetic stones. Also included are novelty items such as pins and a small pincushion accessory. No hallmarks or maker’s marks were visible at the time of cataloguing. The collection represents an eclectic mix of styles from vintage to contemporary. The tray measures approximately 40 centimetres in length.
Condition report:
The items are in varied, un-researched condition. There is significant tangling throughout the necklaces and chains. Surface wear, scratches, and oxidation are present across the metal components, consistent with age and frequent use. Some stones may be loose or missing; functionality of clasps and the electronic earring has not been tested. Sold as a job lot.
