Lot 341:
A Collection of Three Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Lidded Vessels Late 19th or Early 20th Century
Description
A group of three Chinese cloisonné enamel lidded vessels comprising two small ovoid-form jars and one low cylindrical box. Each piece is meticulously decorated with traditional floral and foliate patterns in a palette of pink, red, white, and green enamels. The designs are executed with fine wirework cloisons against a vibrant turquoise blue ground on a metal base, likely brass. The cylindrical box features a dense floral arrangement across the lid and body, while the ovoid jars are decorated with individual floral sprays. These pieces are characteristic of late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period export ware. Cylindrical box measures approximately 6 cm in diameter; ovoid jars measure approximately 5 cm in height.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition with no significant enamel loss, bruising, or visible repairs. There is minor surface wear and light oxidation to the exposed metal rims consistent with age. One lid retains a small adhesive inventory label. The set is complete with all original lids.
