Description

A collection of Chinese cloisonné enamel decorative items, comprising a pair of lidded ginger jars and two small Tea pots . The jars are of baluster form with domed lids topped by gilt bud-shaped finials, featuring intricate cloisonné work where enamel is applied within fine wire cells rather than carved champlevé channels. The jars display a dark green ground with scrolling wire patterns and polychrome floral motifs in shades of red, cobalt blue, and pink. The neck and foot are decorated with sky blue bands and ruyi-head borders. The two small tea pots are finished in vibrant cobalt and turquoise enamels with red floral accents on a gilt brass base. These pieces are of mid-to-late 20th-century origin and represent standard commercial quality of the period. One jar is presented on a carved dark wood stand. Dimensions: Jars approximately 12 cm to 15 cm in height.

Condition report:

The ginger jars are in overall good condition with minor surface pitting to the enamel and light oxidation to the gilt metal rims. The tea pots are in fair to poor condition; one is missing its upper decorative element or is separated into two pieces, and there is noticeable wear to the gilt finish on the handles
