Description

A Royal Copenhagen porcelain vase of tapered ovoid form, featuring a hand-painted underglaze botanical motif of ripening blackberries and white blossoms. The naturalistic design is set against a characteristic graduated ground, transitioning from a pale powder blue at the shoulder to a white base. The underside is fully marked with the green factory crown above ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK, the three blue wavy lines representing Denmarks waterways, the painters initials UF in blue, and the hand-painted green numerals 288 over 1049. This piece exemplifies the refined underglaze technique for which the Danish manufactory is celebrated. Height: approximately 18 cm.

Condition report:

The piece is in excellent condition, free from chips, cracks, hairlines, or signs of restoration. Very light surface wear to the unglazed foot rim consistent with age and handling.
