A Mid-Century Modern Royal Haeger Earth Wrap Ceramic Vase
Description
A vintage ceramic vase of tapered cylindrical form, attributed to the Earth Wrap collection by Royal Haeger, circa 1960s-1970s. The vessel features a characteristic mottled ochre and orange-yellow matte glaze. The exterior is decorated with dark brown abstract organic shapes, each containing intricate sgraffito or incised geometric net and wave patterns. The interior is finished with a pale, off-white glaze. The flat, unglazed base shows no visible maker’s marks, consistent with production that originally utilised foil labels. This piece represents the textured, organic style of American Mid-Century Modern decorative ceramics. Height: approximately 21 cm.
