Lot 266:
A Mixed Collection of Decorative Ceramics and Porcelain including Character Teapots and Figurines
Description
A diverse tray lot of ceramic and porcelain decorative wares, predominantly dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The collection includes two small teapots: one cream-glazed example featuring Disney Mickey Mouse transfer-printed decoration, and a white-glazed teapot with Beatrix Potter motifs. The assortment of figurines comprises several polychrome hand-painted pieces, including a boy with a dog in the Hummel style, a girl with ducks, and various cherubic and angelic figures. Notable is a green-glazed anthropomorphic figural vessel, possibly a spill vase or match holder. Additionally, the lot contains a set of twelve uniform white-glazed figures, likely moulded in a seated pose atop rectangular plinths, alongside various pieces of miniature floral-patterned teaware including cups and creamers. Tray measures approximately 45 cm in length.
Condition report:
The items generally appear to be in good vintage condition with surface wear and light soiling consistent with age and display. No significant chips, cracks, or restorations are immediately apparent to the principal figurines, though minor nicks may be present on the delicate edges of the miniature teaware.
