Mid-Century Modern Teak Trinity Nesting Coffee Table by Nathan Furniture
Description
A Mid-Century Modern Trinity nesting coffee table set, designed and manufactured by Nathan Furniture circa 1960. The set comprises a primary circular coffee table with a solid teak frame and an inset circular glass top, housing three smaller leaf-shaped nesting tables beneath. The design is celebrated for its organic, curved lines and space-saving functionality, characteristic of the British Mid-Century aesthetic with Scandinavian influences. The primary wood is teak, displaying a warm honey-coloured grain throughout. The nesting tables, often referred to as teardrop tables, fit precisely into the underframe of the main unit. Dimensions: H 51 cm x W 82 cm x D 82 cm.
Condition report:
The overall structural integrity is sound. The finish on the tops of the three nesting tables shows some minor surface wear and light staining, which is visible through the glass top of the main table. There are light scuffs and marks to the timber frame consistent with age and domestic use. The glass top is free from significant chips or cracks.
