A Royal Crown Derby Old Imari Pattern 1128 Bone China Oval Lobed Dish, 1971
Description
A Royal Crown Derby English bone china oval lobed dish, decorated in the traditional Old Imari style, specifically Pattern 1128. The piece features a complex hand-painted and heavily gilded design of central radiating floral motifs surrounded by alternating panels of stylised flowers and geometric lattice-work in a palette of cobalt blue and iron red. The dish is characterised by a scalloped rim with integrated scroll-form terminals at each end. The underside bears the red Royal Crown Derby backstamp including the words Derby China and English Bone China, the pattern number 1128, and the Roman numeral date code XXXIV indicating a production date of 1971. Measurements: Approximately 6 inches long.
Condition report:
The dish is in good overall condition with vibrant colours and intact gilding. A small adhesive inventory label is present on the interior surface. No chips, cracks, or restorations are evident.
