Late 20th Century Hardwood and Cast Iron Rectangular Garden Dining Table
Description
A late 20th-century garden dining table in the Victorian revival style. The rectangular top is constructed from solid hardwood slats with a reddish-brown finish and features a central aperture for a parasol. The top is supported by a pair of ornate cast metal trestle-style legs, finished in dark green paint. The legs feature intricate openwork scrollwork and foliate motifs, tapering down to out-turned feet. No maker’s marks are visible. Dimensions: 120cm x 60cm x 72cm.
Condition report:
The solid wood top surface shows signs of weathering, minor scuffs, and a build-up of dust and cobwebs. The painted finish on the cast metal base shows minor scuffs and small areas of oxidation typical for vintage garden furniture. The structure is stable with no structural damage evident. No leaves or veneer present.
