Description
A group of three decorative home items of English vintage style. The lot includes an embossed brass-toned metal magazine box or coal scuttle, featuring an angled lid, carrying handle, and relief-embossed decorations of architectural scenes and a heraldic crest. Also included is a dark-stained wooden magazine rack or bookstand, featuring a carved relief scene of a cottage or tavern on the side panel. The final item is a rectangular wooden serving tray with integrated handles and a central insert depicting a masted sailing ship with red cross emblems. Dimensions: Tray approx. 50cm x 35cm; Brass box approx. 36cm x 31cm x 26cm; Wooden rack approx. 38cm x 32cm.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The serving tray insert shows significant discolouration and foxing throughout. The brass-toned metal box shows minor surface tarnishing and wear. The wooden magazine rack displays minor scuffs and surface abrasions. No maker\'s marks are visible.
