A Collection of Mdina Crizzle and Contemporary Art Glass Paperweights
Description
A collection of contemporary art glass paperweights and decorative objects, featuring a Mdina glass orb in the Crizzle pattern. This piece displays an internal reticulated pattern in shades of green, blue, and yellow, consistent with the Sea and Sand series. The assortment also includes a sphere with encased undulating layers of purple and white glass, a light blue paperweight with a five-petaled internal swirl, a mushroom-shaped object with a clear stem and speckled brown and red inclusions, and a small orange sphere with a molded, spiral-ribbed texture. Construction techniques include hand-blowing and molding. The Mdina piece and other objects exhibit etched signatures, molded marks, or inventory labels on their bases.
