Lot 76:
Goebel M.I. Hummel Ceramic Figurine of Children Under an Umbrella
Description
A glazed ceramic figurine attributed to Goebel, designed by Maria Innocentia Hummel. The piece depicts two children, a boy and a girl, huddled closely beneath a large umbrella, rendered in polychrome glazes characteristic of the Hummel style. The children wear traditional attire; the boy holds a walking stick. The figurine stands on a rectangular beige base. A small white inventory label bearing the number 6187 is adhered to the front of the base. The style and construction are consistent with mid-20th century German porcelain production associated with the Goebel factory. A modern black plastic pen is included in the lot for scale reference.
