Neoclassical Style Painted and Faux-Gilt Console Cabinet or Credenza
Description
A large console cabinet or credenza executed in a Neoclassical or traditional style. The structure is finished in a distressed cream and beige painted surface, accented heavily with faux-gilt or bronze trim applied to the moldings and architectural elements. The facade presents as two pairs of doors (four vertical door sections total), each fitted with a small, distressed round knob. Architectural detailing includes a prominent egg-and-dart molding along the upper edge and engaged pilasters at the corners, which are decorated with spiral bands. The cabinet is photographed with six unrelated items resting on its surface, including a pair of boots, a Technics speaker, a plastic-wrapped object, a multi-component Technics stereo system (labeled Technics STEREO CASSETTE DECK RS-SV290 and DOLBY B NR), a grouping of cords, and a rock-like object.
