A Collection of 21 Decorative Ceramic and Glass Items Including Kahla Fruit Motif Plates and Assorted Vessels
Description
A collection of 21 assorted decorative ceramic and glass items. The lot includes seven porcelain dessert or collector plates attributed by consensus to Kahla, GDR (East Germany), dating to the 1950s, featuring detailed botanical fruit clusters and finished with gilt edging. These fruit plates depict various subjects including raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, and blackberries. The lot also contains four large collector plates, two of which are partially contained within original blue boxes, displaying illustrative scenes. One large circular plate is present, featuring ornate patterned decoration in deep blue, red, and gold enameling, marked with the number 6182. Six miniature decorative dishes or trinket dishes are included, featuring portraiture, stylized heraldic patterns, and bird motifs, some arranged in small stacks. The collection is completed by three vessels: a large ceramic punch bowl with a yellow glazed interior and exterior floral motifs; a ceramic character jug molded in the form of a man in a powdered wig; and one white, textured ceramic or glass decanter with a stopper.
