A Collection of 13 Royal Albert The Queen Mother's Favourite Flowers Finale Collector Plates
Description
A collection of thirteen collector plates manufactured by Royal Albert as part of “The Queen Mother’s Favourite Flowers” series. The plates are identified by the specific design “Finale,” sometimes noted as being designed by Sara Anne Schofield and dated 1991. The plates are constructed of bone china and feature a scalloped, molded rim finished with gold-tone trim. The collection is presented in two distinct stacks. One stack (six plates) features a large central transferware motif of pink rose blossoms and green foliage. The other stack (seven plates) features a dense, multi-colored bouquet composed of red roses, purple irises, and various yellow and pink flowers. The rims of all plates are decorated with a repeating stylized floral garland motif. One plate bears the visible inventory mark “9211” on the face.
