Description

A collection of 16 heterogeneous decorative and utility objects, primarily composed of glazed ceramic and porcelain, dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. The assortment features a large, scalloped serving dish decorated with hand-painted fruit motifs including pears, plums, and berries on a graduated yellow and green ground, consistent with the Lefton Heritage pattern identified in market research. The collection also includes a large porcelain chamber pot decorated with pink floral transfer and hand-painted detailing, featuring a green handle. A brightly colored glazed ceramic figurine of a smiling man in a green jacket and striped trousers is present. Other items include a circular ceramic plate painted with a dark fish motif, bearing a visible sticker marked ‘2819’; a teal-glazed circular tile featuring a relief molded putto; and a novelty porcelain citrus reamer molded with a man’s face. Further accessories comprise a green-glazed serpent-form dish, a small brown metal dog figurine resting atop an orange ceramic ashtray, and a small transferware saucer. Two lidded trinket boxes are included: one cloisonné enamel egg and one deep blue porcelain jar with extensive gilt detailing and a floral finial. The collection is completed by several small decorative vases.
