A Collection of 8 Decorative Objects Including a Green Onyx Obelisk and Capitoline Wolf Sculpture
Description
A collection of eight decorative objects composed of various materials including stone, glass, and metal. The lot is anchored by a tall, polished obelisk crafted from variegated green and white onyx. This obelisk bears an inventory sticker marked 6182. Also included is an intricately carved brown soapstone grouping featuring figures and foliage, forming a vessel or container. A silver-toned metal sculpture depicting the Capitoline Wolf suckling infants is set upon a rectangular marble base, which is lightly inscribed with the word Roma. The remainder of the collection consists of five smaller items: a clear glass tri-footed bowl decorated with painted floral sprays; a small grouping of three ceramic dog figures (one large painted figure and two small metallic gold-tone figures) mounted on a rectangular marble base; a rectangular clear glass tray displaying a reverse-painted rural scene with horses; a circular clear glass dish featuring a central embedded or dried floral design; and a circular clear glass trinket box with a polychrome painted lid depicting 18th-century style genre figures, also marked with the 6182 inventory sticker.
