A Collection of 75 Assorted Thimbles and Sewing Implements with Display Cabinet
Description
The lot comprises a collection of 75 assorted collectible thimbles and sewing implements, dating primarily to the 20th century. The majority of the collection consists of ceramic or porcelain souvenir thimbles, typically white with applied decals depicting floral patterns, scenery, tourist locations (including “Ibiza” and “Alnwick”), and commemorative text (including “PRINCE HARRY &…”). The collection also includes numerous metal thimbles in silver-tone, brass, and dark oxidized finishes, several solid-colored ceramic thimbles (red, blue, green, orange), and at least two items made of natural material, including one cylindrical wooden piece.
