A Collection of 4 Royal Doulton Bunnykins and Commemorative Prince William Book Bank 1982
Description
A collection of four glazed ceramic novelty figurines attributed to Royal Doulton Bunnykins. The lot includes a commemorative book-form money bank and three related anthropomorphic rabbit figurines and structures. The book bank is finished in white ceramic and features a detailed floral and rabbit decal surrounding the inscription: To Celebrate the Birth of the First Child of T.R.H. The Prince & Princess of Wales 1982. The collection also includes a large ceramic cottage or shop facade, detailed with textured stonework, a tiled roof, and a chimney, featuring a fruit stall visible under a pink and white striped awning. The third and fourth items are two smaller rabbit figurines: one depicting a rabbit holding a lattice pie, and the other showing a swaddled infant rabbit nestled in a basket. The pieces are executed in a colorful, late 20th-century style consistent with the Bunnykins line. A handwritten sticker reading 6182 is affixed to the awning of the cottage structure.
