A Collection of 18 Decorative Objects, Including Porcelain, Ceramics, and Patinated Metalware
Description
A collection of 18 miscellaneous decorative objects composed primarily of porcelain, various ceramics, and patinated metal. The metalware includes three disparate candle holders or stands: an ornate dark metal candlestick, a small gilt metal stand, and a figural piece featuring a dark, patinated cherub head with gilt wings set on a bronze base. Also present is a composite figural piece depicting two standing men beside posts, serving as a probable lamp or candelabra base. The ceramic items vary widely, including a prominent large, circular porcelain covered box decorated profusely with painted floral sprays and gilt detailing, bearing a white sticker marked 6182. The lot also contains a number of small dishes and plates with scalloped edges and hand-painted motifs, including floral, berry, and bird scenes. Notable ceramic pieces include a white plate with a centered ceramic duck figurine, a white pitcher with molded relief decoration, and a small dark blue ceramic vase. One small blue dish features the Roman numeral markings XIX/XVI. Other items include a small square porcelain box with a metal hinge, a small figural yellow flower or pear shape, and a pink egg-shaped object.
