A Collection of 13 Late 19th to Early 20th Century Vanity and Personal Accessories, including Silver Brushes and Mother-of-Pearl Cross
Description
A collection of thirteen assorted vanity and personal accessories dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The lot features elements of a silver brush set, including two matching silver metal and natural bristle clothes brushes, and a third dark metal-backed hairbrush. Also present is a small brush handle decorated with an enameled landscape scene. The accessories include a small rectangular box entirely covered in paved clear stones, a gold-toned compact featuring a central motif set with a ruby and diamond-cut paste stones, and a small carved mother-of-pearl and bone crucifix. The collection also contains a large burgundy leather-bound folder with metal corners, a small gold-toned serving spoon, a yellow enameled plaque decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay, a tiny cut-glass scent bottle with a silver-toned cap, a small black enameled case, and a severely distressed pasteboard box. The presence of silver items and a silver topped perfume bottle aligns with typical antique vanity sets.
