Lot 337:
A Pair of Art Deco Oak Cased Mantel Clocks
Description
This lot comprises two vintage or antique mantel clocks, characteristic of the Art Deco period. The clock on the left is crafted with a lighter-toned, possibly oak, wooden case featuring an arched top and decorative fluted feet. It presents a silver-toned dial with Arabic numerals behind a brass-toned bezel, with a small, unreadable white sticker over the ’12’ mark. The clock on the right is made from a darker wood, possibly mahogany or stained oak, exhibiting a gabled or pointed top and a tiered base. It houses a similar silver-toned dial with Arabic numerals and a brass-toned bezel. Both items are likely equipped with Westminster chime mechanisms, as suggested by market comparables.
