A Hornby OO R.538 Western Express Goods Set, likely from the mid-to-late 20th century, composed primarily of plastic and metal components. The set features a maroon diesel locomotive, partially marked “WESTERN MARINER” with the number D1667. Accompanying the locomotive is a collection of freight wagons, including a “UNITED DAIRIES MILK TANK,” a “GULF” branded tank wagon (numbered 731), a “KIT KAT” box van, a “REST Assured” box van, an “ARNOLDS SANDS” open wagon, and a green open wagon marked “S C 25506.” The set also contains various track sections, including curved, straight, and points/switches, all neatly organized within a white polystyrene insert.
