Description
A set of twelve miniature books from ‘The World of Peter Rabbit’ by Beatrix Potter. The collection is presented in a decorative hinged-lid cardboard case with two brass-tone metal clasps. The exterior of the box features classic storybook illustrations depicting anthropomorphic animals, including a rabbit akin to Peter Rabbit, and a scarecrow, with a “TM” marking visible on the front. The books have white spines printed with black text, enumerating titles such as ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit,’ ‘The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin,’ ‘The Tailor of Gloucester,’ ‘The Tale of Benjamin Bunny,’ ‘The Tale of Two Bad Mice,’ ‘The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle,’ ‘The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher,’ ‘The Tale of Tom Kitten,’ ‘The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck,’ ‘The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies,’ ‘The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes,’ and ‘The Tale of Mrs. Littlemouse,’ numbered sequentially from 1 through at least 12.
