Description
A 19th Century English Sterling Silver Topped Cut Glass Perfume Bottle. The item features an emerald green glass body with a globular, faceted design. It is surmounted by a domed, repoussé or chased silver-toned metal stopper adorned with ornate floral or scrollwork patterns. A silver-toned metal collar connects the stopper, bearing discernible English hallmarks: a maker’s mark “YMH”, a lion passant indicating sterling silver, a crowned leopard’s head for the London assay office, and a date letter ‘G’, corresponding to circa 1882-1883.
