Description
A pair of prints by Bessie Pease Gutmann, titled ‘Mischief’ and ‘Sunbeam’. Each print depicts a smiling young child with curly hair in a sentimental, idealized style. The larger print features a child with darker blonde or light brown curly hair, identified as ‘Mischief’, while the smaller shows a child with lighter blonde, curly hair, identified as ‘Sunbeam’. Each is housed under glass in a dark-stained wooden frame with a lighter-colored inner bezel. Faint, illegible text, possibly a signature or title, is barely discernible on the lower edge of the larger print, with no clear markings visible on the smaller one.
