A Pair of Reproduction Victorian/Edwardian Style Gilded Decorative Plaques, one depicting a King Charles Spaniel
Description
A pair of reproduction decorative plaques or possibly box lids, executed in the Victorian or Edwardian style. The oval-shaped plaque features a brown and white King Charles Spaniel in a pastoral landscape, signed “Allen” in the lower right of the image, set under a clear, domed cover. The second plaque is an irregular rectangular shape with rounded corners, depicting two cherubic figures in an affectionate embrace, also under a clear, domed cover. Both pieces are set within gold-colored, likely gilded, frames with a ribbed border, reflecting a late 19th to early 20th-century aesthetic.
